Coach Profiles

Courtney Feller

Coach Feller will begin coaching her first year with Wisconsin Hoops Select in 2021 and will be the head coach for the 15U girls team.  Courtney has coached the 7th grade girls team in Lancaster; along with helping in Lancaster & New Glarus with the youth teams.  

Courtney grew up in New Glarus, WI; playing basketball & running cross country.  She attended UW-Platteville, majoring in Elementary Education & was also a 2-year Captain on the UWP Women's Basketball Team.  She is currently a 4th grade teacher in Lancaster.  Coach Feller enjoys spending time with her family/friends, reading, cooking & watching the Badgers & Bucks!  

Courtney is excited to share the passion she has always had for the game with the girls & to work alongside them to grow in the game & as young women.

Lauren Porcelli (Madison, WI)

2021 is Coach Lauren’s first year coaching for Wisconsin Hoops Select, and she will be the head coach for 13U Girls.  She is very excited to be apart of the program and has had a passion for basketball her whole life.  Lauren is originally from Downers Grove, IL and just graduated from UW-Madison in the Spring of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering.  During her time at Madison, she was the president and player on the Wisconsin Women's Club Basketball team.  Lauren helped the team win their first-ever national championship along with four regional championships.  Some of her favorite places she traveled with her club team include the University of Maryland, Ohio State University, UCLA, and Middle Tennessee State University.

Basketball has been a big part of her life; along with playing she also coached since high school.  She has AAU coaching experience for 6 years with the Illinois Lady Lightning Program, working with 5th and 6th-grade teams.  Coach Lauren also has experience setting up and running summer basketball camps at Downers Grove North High School in Illinois for 4 years.  In her free time, she conducts private basketball training both for boys and girls ages 4th-8th grade.

When Lauren is not on the court you can find her staying active by running or rollerblading and hanging out with friends and family!

Serena Pretti (Verona, WI)

Coach Pretti is in her 2nd year coaching with Wisconsin Hoops Select.  Serena played in the WHS program for 7 years while graduating from Mount Horeb High School in 2015.  
Coach Pretti played all four years on the Varsity basketball team.  She was an All-Conference selection all 4 years of High School while being a team captain two of the years.  A multi sport athlete, Serena also excelled in Volleyball and Soccer. 
Serena recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Real Estate and Finance.  She is currently working at Gempler's doing Merchandising and Marketing work.  She is involved and giving back to the community she grew up in as a 7th grade Girls Basketball Coach.  
Outside of the gym Coach Pretti loves to travel, frequent Burn Boot Camp, attend Badger Games and spend time with family and her 2 year old Golden Retriever, Brandi.

Chris Jenny (Edgerton, WI)

Coach Jenny is entering his 6th year in the Wisconsin Hoops Select program and is currently coaching the 12U Girls.  Chris is a former four sport athlete in High School who understands the importance of well-rounded athletes and how sports can provide important life lessons that can be used by athletes in all of their future endeavors and not just athletics.
Following high school graduation,  Coach Jenny attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois where he played basketball. 
Chris is currently the Head Coach for the Edgerton High School girls basketball team.  In addition, he serves as the head middle school football coach.  Chris is an active member in his community having also served as a head coach in youth Football, Basketball and Baseball in Edgerton.  He is on the Board of Directors for the Edgerton Football League and is President of the Edgerton Youth Baseball Leagues.
Coach Jenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School and is currently a shareholder in the Madison office of Von Briesen & Roper, s.c.  He is married to Sara and has two wonderful kids, Clayton and Claudia.  When not attending sporting events Chris and his family like to camp, golf, and travel.  When not coaching, you may also find Coach Jenny running the floor at local High School games where he is a High School Basketball official.

Lindsey Laborde (Mount Horeb, WI)

This is Coach Lindsey’s fourth year coaching for Wisconsin Hoops Select. She started as an assistant with the 11U Girls in 2017 and is now a head coach for the 14U Girls. Lindsey is a 2018 graduate of Mount Horeb High School where she was an all-conference basketball and track athlete. She played AAU basketball for 6 years and strongly believes that the AAU experience is both irreplaceable and unforgettable. Her senior basketball season, she was Mount Horeb’s leading scorer, a team captain, a selected player for the Badger Conference All Star game, and a WBCA Academic All-State recipient. Her senior track season ended with a trip to state in the 300m hurdles. She values the importance of a team and believes that basketball teaches lessons that can be applied to all aspects of life. Lindsey enjoys sharing her passion for the game with younger players and never misses a moment to remind them to “keep your head up”.
Following high school graduation, Lindsey attended the University of Iowa where she was a starter on their first ever Women’s Club Basketball team. Following freshman year, she transferred to Edgewood College where she is currently studying Nursing and competing in Track and Field.
Most recently, Lindsey took a position as the Assistant JV2 Coach for Verona Area High School. She also helps her high school coach Bill Freidig with his team at Abundant Life Christian School. 
When she’s not in the gym, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Isaiah Crowe

Coach Crowe is excited to begin in a Head Coaching role in 2021; after being with Hoops Select in a supporting role for the past 3 years with his daughters on older teams.  Coach has been a girls varsity assistant coach, varsity boys & girls soccer coach, WIAA certified basketball official (14 years) & 8th grade girls coach previously.  Coach Crowe & his family reside in Black Earth, where he has been active for the past 9 years with basket ball & soccer.

Isaiah has been a special education teacher for the past 19 years; 16 at Sun Prairie High School & the past 3 at Verona Area High School.  Isaiah has 4 fantastic children (Griffin, Graham, Lydia & Felicity) & a wonderful wife, Megan, who support him!  

Coach Crowe is excited to get the boys on the court & to work on developing wonderful young men; on & off the court!

Tyler Sullivan (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Sullivan is entering his 9th year coaching in the Wisconsin Hoops Select program and the third year with his current 17u team.  Tyler has been part of the Barneveld High School Coaching staff for the past 13 years, fourth year as the Head Varsity Coach, four years as the Varsity Assistant and five years as the Head JV Coach.  Coach Sullivan was recently named Coach of the Year for the Six River Conference.
Tyler was a multiple sport athlete in High School were he excelled at Basketball and Football.  Coach Sullivan is currently employed at MG&E.  Tyler and his wife Jessi are busy with their two daughters.  They enjoy spending time with family and friends, anything Wisconsin sports, as well as being outdoors with their dogs, golfing, and kayaking.

Brad Richardson (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Richardson has coached in the WHS program for the past 10 years, starting with our 16U & 17U teams.  He has come full circle & started in our lower level programs as an assistant coach for the 10U,11U, 12U & 13U Johnson/Sullivan teams.  Coach Richardson added to his responsibilities a couple of years back by starting up the U9 program in Southwestern Wisconsin, an introductory program to summer basketball & the programs first in it's history.  He has stayed with that age since that poing & is currently is the Head Coach for the 15U Richardson boys team.  Beginning in 2019, he will also continued his love for coaching by also coaching the 11U White boys team. Brad has also been busy volunteering his time with the Mt. Horeb Basketball Club helping coach the 4th-8th grade boys & the 7th-8th grade girls the past couple of years.
When not in the gym Brad can be seen watching all Wisconsin based sports especially the Mt. Horeb Vikings, Edgewood College Eagles Men's Basketball program & the Badgers.  He enjoys play-by-play radio broadcasting for high school & college athletics.  Professionally, Brad is a Director of Admissions, overseeing the technology at the University of Wisconsin Office of Admissions.
Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, who is the Administrative Director & co-owner of  WHS.  They love to spoil their nephews, nieces & their puppy, Baxter!

Michael McCabe (Edgerton, WI)

Coach McCabe was the varsity boys’ basketball head coach for Edgerton during the 2015-16 and 2014-15 seasons. Getting to lead a K-12 program was a privilege, and he continues to enjoy watching the Edgerton Boys’ Basketball program excel. McCabe started coaching basketball under Coach Lucky Wurtz in Waupun in 2005. For three years, Coach McCabe coached middle basketball from August through April and had the varsity boys during the summers. This was a great opportunity to learn from and work with both Coach Wurtz and Coach Dan Domask.

In 2008, Coach McCabe began his teaching career at Kimberly High School. He was a JV Girls Assistant Coach on Troy Cullen’s staff for one season before rejoining Coach Wurtz. From 2009-2012 Coach McCabe was the JV Boys’ Basketball Coach at Kimberly High School. McCabe was fortunate to coach talented players and guided them to a 60-22 record over four seasons. He took the 2013 season off to assist with his growing family and returned to coaching as the Assistant Varsity Coach on Jason Knott’s staff at Edgerton High School. During the 2013-14 season, the Edgerton Boys’ Basketball team started 15-0 and went on to win the Rock Valley North Conference title.

Coach McCabe also coached track and field for 10 seasons as a long and triple jump coach. In his day job, he is a middle school principal and has ambitions of becoming superintendent. Coach has three daughters and all of his free time is dedicated to raising them to be the best leaders and learners they can be.

Sean Johnson (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Johnson has been coaching for over 20 years, coaching both boys & girls in the Mt. Horeb youth basketball program, along with coaching for 12 years at every level of the WHS program.  In addition to coaching, Sean is also the Director of the WHS program & Co-Founder/President of the Mt. Horeb Basketball Club.

Coach Johnson works at Gempler's in Mount Horeb, WI when not in the gym.  Sean enjoys all things Wisconsin sports, along with golfing & spending time with friends & family.  Sean grew up in Milwaukee, WI were he was a 4 sport athlete at New Berlin Eisenhower.

Sean's family includes his wife, Julie & 2 children:  Sam & Lauren.  Sean's family also includes Oliver, a 8 year-old Shih Tzu.

Keith King (Edgerton, WI)

Coach King is entering his 3rd year at Wisconsin Hoops Select. He was a 3 sport athlete playing Football, Basketball and Baseball for Edgerton High School where he graduated in 2009. He continues to play basketball during the week in a couple different leagues. His passion for the game is evident and will bring a great addition to the program. Coach King graduated from MATC with a Business Management degree and currently works at UW Credit Union as a Financial Specialist. He plans to go back to school this fall to continue his education in Business Management. He spends a lot of his free time rooting on the badgers and packers and always working on his golf game.

Travis Miller (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Miller has been coaching coaching both boys & girls in the Mt. Horeb youth basketball program for 3 years.  Prior to that he was an Assistant Varsity Coach for volleyball in Mineral Point.

Coach Miller works at Covance in Madison, WI when not in the gym.  Travis grew up in Cobb, WI where he was a 3 sport athlete at Iowa-Grant.

Travis’s family includes his wife, Tasha (Teacher and Girls BB Assistant Varsity Coach in Mount Horeb) & 3 children:  Brody (9) & Sadie (8) & Sophie (8).  Travis's family also includes Brownie, a 1 year-old Miniature Yorkie.

Todd Nesheim (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Nesheim graduated in 1988 from Mt Horeb High School & from UW-Platteville in 1993.  Todd received his Master’s Degree from National Louis University in 1998.  He has taught Physical Education at Mt Horeb High School since 1994 & has been coaching basketball in the boys program at Mt. Horeb since 1991.  Prior to taking over the Varsity Boys Basketball Head coaching position in 2008, Todd coached Varsity baseball for 10 years.

Some of Coach Nesheim's career basketball milestones include winning the first Boys Basketball State Championship in 2015 for Mt. Horeb, 4 Sectional appearances, 3 Sectional Final appearances & back-to-back conference championships. Todd's wife, Kolleen, is the​ current​ athletic director at Mt. Horeb High School.  They have been married since 1994 and have 3 children:  Terek (20), Abby (18) & Kamron (11).

Jerod Boyd (Burlington, WI)

Coach Boyd is entering his third year coaching at Wisconsin Hoops Select. Jerod has coached the 17U girls and has been with the 16U boys team the last 2 years. He has been coaching the last 10 years in the Southern Lakes Conference. He spent the last 3 years as the varsity head girl’s coach at Westosha Central and is now the varsity head girl’s coach at Burlington Catholic Central. In high school he was all-conference basketball, tennis, and cross country runner. He went on to play club basketball at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where they were nationally ranked his entire four years. Jerod has a fiancé, Emily and two children, Nolan and one to be determined soon. In his free time he enjoys working out, playing basketball and golf, and entertaining his kids.

Carter James (Austin, TX)

Coach James has been coaching at a variety of levels for the past couple of years & is entering his third season coaching for WHS.  Experience includes:  Oregon Youth Basketball Head Coach (2013-current), Oregon JV & Varsity Basketball Assistant (2014-15 season), Camp Coach at Wisconsin Basketball Camp (2014) & Verona Youth Football Coach (2013).

Coach James is currently residing in Austin, TX working as a program adviser.  Carter took his love of basketball & his career goals to complete a summer internship with WHS in the summer of 2014.  His enthusiasm, support for players & love of the game are key attributes & appreciated by the entire WHS program & family!

On a personal note, Coach James grew up on a dairy farm in Mineral Point, WI.  He spent all 4 years of high school playing football, basketball & baseball.  Carter enjoys spending his time doing all things basketball (playing, watching & coaching), golfing, spending time with friends & family.

Brandon Ewing (Richland Center, WI)

Brandon has been married to his wife Anna for three years, has three siblings - Bradie (coaches football, strength and conditioning coach for UW), Brittany (works as in game recruiting coordinator for UW) and Brooklyn who is a Junior at UW.  Currently works as an Inside Sales Manager for Scot Industries in Muscoda, WI
He Graduated from Richland Center High School as a 3 sport athlete, lettering 2 years in Football, 3 years in Basketball and 4 years in Track.  Holds the school record for being voted captain for a varsity sport in 6 of his 9 sports.  Played basketball for UW Platteville and Paul Combs for one year until a wrist injury forced him to shut it down. 
Brandon started his coaching career as a 13u girl's AAU coach, after college he coached in the Richland Center Youth basketball organization for 4 years.  He took over the reigns at Richland Center High School in 2013 where he was voted Coach of the Year in the SWC Conference in his first season.  He is working on building the Richland Center basketball program from the ground up by concentrating on skill development at the lowest levels.  One of our favorite pieces of information, his father is currently his assistant coach.

Chris Benetti (Verona, WI)

Coach Benetti has an extensive background in coaching with stops at multiple collegiate levels and high school.  Coach Benetti has coached at Southmont High (Indiana), DePauw University, Laredo Junior College, University of Wisconsin, Eastern Carolina, Cambell University, Verona High School, Oregon High School and currently at Savanna Oaks Middle School in their 7th and 8th grade girls program.

Coach Benetti is also a social sciences teacher at Savanna Oaks Middle School in Verona, WI.  Coach has also played basketball at multiple levels including Rend Lake Junior College in Ina, Illinois and McMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois..

Danielle Hawkins (Union Grove, WI)

This is Danielle’s first year working with the Hoops Select program.  She is currently a 5th and 6th grade special education teacher at Union Grove Elementary School.  At UG, she has been coaching in both the girls and boys middle school basketball programs for 8 years. She also has been a part of the Union Grove Junior Broncos youth basketball program. Outside of basketball season, she also coaches the school Cross Country Team and the Track and Field team.

Kimee Chandler (Pecatonica, WI)

Coach Chandler is no stranger to summer basketball and Wisconsin Hoops Select.  Kimee has been playing AAU basketball since 4th grade, choosing WHS as her summer destination.  She played all 4 years in High School and continued her college basketball career playing Division 1 basketball at UW Milwaukee.  She is currently an Assistant Coach at Madison College in her 2nd year while volunteering as a camp coach for Wesley Matthews Skill Academy.

In her free time she likes to hang out with her family and friends, spending time outdoors and staying active.  Kimee is currently attending UW Whitewater pursuing her 2nd Bachelors Degree in Physical Education.

Sawyer Lee (Barneveld, WI)

Coach Lee is entering his second season with Wisconsin Hoops Select starting his coaching career with the 15U boys in 2014.  Sawyer was a standout athlete at Barneveld High School where he played Basketball and Football.  Sawyer also played for the Wisconsin Hoops Select program through his High School years, coached by Chuck Chandler.

Sawyer is currently helping his brother on his grain farm and is planning to return to UW Platteville in the Fall.  He is the youngest of 4 children that includes two sisters and another brother.  He is a Wisconsin sports supporter as he loves to cheer on the Packer, Badgers and Brewers.

Nick Allen - Program Advisor (Mt. Horeb, WI)

Coach Allen has been coaching with Wisconsin Hoops Select for the past 7 years, coaching his current team since the 11U level.  Nick had a stellar career at Barneveld High School and took his talents to UW Platteville where he played basketball from 2007-2011 for the Pioneers.

Professionally Nick is a CPA and is married and busy with his one year old daughter Avery.  Nick and his wife Cayla enjoy sports and spend as much time as they can outdoors.
